Pre-filtration
Full Skid

The pre-filter retains the particles (sand, algae, limestone, etc.) upstream of the water point thanks to cartridges of 5, 1 or 0.5 μm, thus protecting the 0.2 μm terminal filters against fouling.

Ready to be fixed to the wall and connected, it is equipped with a removable cartridge for simple maintenance. The internal materials are designed to limit the adhesion of the limestone.

In a hospital or a health facility, water is omnipresent: care, patient hygiene, food, operation of medical equipment, cleaning of premises … Its quality therefore has a direct impact on health security.

Insufficiently treated water can become a vector of contamination and cause serious nosocomial infections, especially in the most fragile patients (immunocompromised, elderly, patients in resuscitation).

Terminal filtration: secure every sensitive water point

Terminal filtration consists of installing filters directly on the taps, showers or water outlets used in sensitive areas.
These filters, usually in 0.2 μm, effectively retain pathogenic bacteria, including Legionella pneumophila and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, two germs responsible for serious infections.

This solution is particularly indicated:

in the services of resuscitation, oncology or transplants,
to protect immunocompromised patients,
in all areas where exposure to infectious risk is high.

Terminal filters have the advantage of being easy to install and replace, without any major network modification. They offer immediate protection, but require rigorous follow-up: the lifespan is limited (a few weeks to a few months depending on the model), and inadequate maintenance can reduce their effectiveness.

Filtration in retirement homes: prevention of Legionella

In retirement homes, controlling the risk of Legionella is a priority. Legionella develops particularly in domestic hot water networks when the temperature is poorly controlled or when deposits form in the pipes.

Anti-legionella filters constitute a barrier complementary to thermal or chemical disinfection. They prevent the passage of bacteria to distribution points (showers, sinks, kitchens).

This protection is essential for residents, often elderly or suffering from chronic diseases, who have increased sensitivity to respiratory infections. Their implementation also makes it possible to meet the regulatory requirements imposed on health and medical-social institutions.

UV treatment: effective disinfection without chemistry

Ultraviolet radiation (UV-C) disinfection is a technology known for its effectiveness against microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa).
UV light acts directly on DNA and RNA, preventing germs from reproducing and therefore contaminating water.

Its main assets :

immediate disinfection, without the addition of chemicals,
no change in the taste or smell of water,
absence of undesirable residues or by-products (unlike chlorine).

Modern UV lamps offer high power, an optimized spectrum and an extended lifespan. They are often used in addition to mechanical filtration to ensure maximum microbiological safety.

Prefiltration kits: limit the fouling of fine filters

The water of a network can contain many solid particles: sand, algae, limestone, sludge…
These impurities, while not dangerous to health, can quickly cradle terminal filters and reduce their lifespan.

Prefiltration kits are a first barrier. Equipped with cartridges of 5 μm, 1 μm or 0.5 μm, they effectively remove these particles and ensure:

better longevity of the terminal filters,
reduction of maintenance costs,
clearer and better quality water at the exit of the network.

These devices are delivered ready to install (wall mounting, simple connection) and designed for easy maintenance. Some cartridges are washable or removable, which facilitates regular maintenance.

Custom Prefiltration Chains (skids)

For large hospitals or establishments with specific needs, it is possible to set up pre-filtration skids.

These are compact modules grouping several filtration steps (large filters, multiple prefilters, activated carbon filters, etc.), dimensioned according to the quality of the inlet water and the uses, on the latter, we can also add a part with automatic chlorination to have bacteriologically controlled water (EBM).
